Whatever you are going through and whatever support you need, seek to learn from a lot of different people, sources and resources-People, speeches, videos, books, courses, podcasts
There are lots of ways to get you started in looking for the right support.
- Look for and use free resources- shop around to see what works for you
- Don’t just look for one professional to support you. Look for a few, a strong network of relationships relevant to the issues you are going through.
- Don’t forget to look to non family professionals as well for support ie your peers because they are often closer to the issues you may be struggling with now but ensure that they support and don’t judge
- Be specific about what you want and why you want it which will inform and shape the questions you ask and where you search for support takes you.
- Earn the respective and trust of those supporting you through your action- read their books, watch their videos, listen to them and be open to learning from them.
If you want someone to invest in you, give them a reason to believe in you
