During this one day workshop you will learn how to use the Nonviolent communication approach and skills to help your clients find ways to overcome the closed loop of negative thinking and behaviour, creating an opportunity for a more compassionate and empathic approach to problem solving.
The workshop will be using shared parenting scenarios for you to practice on.

Who is the training for?
This workshop is for Family mediators, Collaborative practitioners and Family Solicitors who wish to understand how to help their clients improve the quality of their communication using the NVC model.
Key learning objectives
You will learn how to apply some key concepts of the NVC approach including –
- How to acknowledge what is being said without evaluation and judgement and help your clients to do the same
- How to use the power of empathy to create better communication connections
- How to hone your empathy skills to support better communication connections
- How to support a shift in your clients thinking without resorting to coercion and compromise
- How to use the power of reframe in authentic and resonant ways to positively influence thinking and communication
You will work with different co-parenting scenarios putting your new skills to practice and reflecting on the outcomes
The workshop is based on presentation, role play, discussion and questions, focusing on the sharing of insights, as new learnings and prior experience combine.
