Whilst many family mediation organisations are shrinking, Compass Resolution is set to expand by over 400% in the coming months with 45 offices across the South of England, including the London area, all of which offer a service which can save both parties time and money when they separate.
Compass Resolution has also accepted an opportunity from the government to expand its existing legal aid family mediation contract, allowing the company to offer free mediation to an extensive list of clients that can now qualify for legal aid.
As specialists in mediation, Compass Resolution have been able to help numerous separating couples to reach their own decisions when it comes to their finances and their child situation.
To achieve this, Compass Resolution are collaborating with many other supporting organisations including Relate, One Plus One and Kids in the Middle.
With a range of experienced mediators from backgrounds in accounting, law, finance and child psychology, Compass Resolution is able to offer clients a broad range of skills and knowledge in order to create an integrated mediated solution to those problems separating couples may face.
John Hind, qualified lawyer of 22 years, mediator of 17 years and Compass Resolution’s founder and director, comments, “we seem to attract those separating couples who are willing and able to work with us to resolve their own issues. Despite the difficult circumstances, they recognise the benefits in this approach for both themselves and their children.” He also adds, “with this commitment [from clients] and our specialist help, we believe that we can help over 80% of separating couples to resolve their parenting issues and financial agreements following separation.”
Unfortunately, many separating couples are still unaware of the benefits of using mediation and, therefore, do not receive the help and support that mediation can offer.
